ROXY - Wintermarkt
This weekend is the big day: ROXY will be transformed into a winter market for two days, offering a wide variety of things to discover and experience. At the stands, you can expect: wine from Binzen, feather art, textile works, festive unique dresses and shoes, and freshly harvested organic olive oil from Greece. Hanging objects, hand-formed and painted ceramics, unique cast jewelry, hand-printed cards, lamps, trash art, fairy lights, various products from the members of the Basel Comic Crew, jewelry, watercolors, mica, street chalk, handmade leather accessories, and much more. There will be sweet treats from Liebcake Café and savory snacks from ROXY Bar. Win cool prizes on the wheel of fortune with Sven. Listen to readings from Wortstellwerk Basel, author Louisa Raspé, and jack-of-all-trades Amin Alavi. Choreographers Nora Wyss and Mirjam Seifert will give a choreographic guide to slowing down and sweet idleness. Musical accompaniment with concerts will be provided by the Jazzemble from Birsfelden and the guitar quartet. The supervised children's program starts on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. and on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. and offers many opportunities to do crafts, play, and get creative. The contribution towards expenses is CHF 7. Be there!
Priscilla Predator: geboren leben sterben
In their duo exhibition, Paul Fritz and Virginie Sistek revisit a familiar character: Priscilla Predator, part alien messiah, part shapeshifting mystery. Her character was originally created for an episodic radio broadcast recounting her adventures on Earth. Priscilla Predator is a tale of adaptation and the struggles of communication.
For the exhibition at For, Priscilla’s humble radio show is transformed into a proto-theatrical, live-action play: a performance presented every hour, every Saturday, without actors, fully automated.

Bring along any clothes that have been waiting to be mended or no longer fit, and come and do some embroidery, crochet, knitting, etc.
Feel free to bring along a pattern and fabric, or old clothes – maybe we can alter or spruce them up together ✨
Do it yourself and together instead of throwing it away💜
It doesn't matter if you've never held a needle before or if you have sewing or other skills to share....
Or just come by for a cup of tea and a chat☕️
There are sewing machines (1 overlock) / some fabric / needles and thread /
and all the sewing accessories that you can bring with you.
