Wear a mask and your face grows to fit it
Fearing ridicule, the soldier in George Orwell's “Shooting an Elephant” acts as his oversized mask—his role as an imperialist—dictates: he kills the peaceful grazing elephant for no reason. The inexorable sequence of events leading to this tragic end reveals his mask and the constraints it imposes on his actions.

In many places, a certain tiredness with the sustainability debate is noticeable. Many feel discouraged, powerless, or frustrated, which is why they prefer resignation to active engagement.
Mycelium addresses this issue and aims to spread optimism, inspiration, and a drive to take action.
How can I continue? How can I work with others to create a better world and live sustainably? At our festival, you will find a colorful bouquet of answers to these questions.
Networking, exchange, and empowerment—that's what Mycelium stands for!
An diverse selection of people and projects from the region will enliven the festival with workshops, studios, walks and tours, lectures, music, dance, and much more!

Gemeinsam Podcast hören zu Embodiment & Transformation
Gemeinsam Podcast hören zu Embodiment & Transformation - "what we need to embody the world we want"
„Finding Our Way Podcast“ is hosted by teacher, somatics practitioner, and movement facilitator Prentis Hemphill. Finding Our Way is a conversation between Prentis and powerful social justice leaders, artists, and activists to discuss how to realize the world we want through our own healing and transformation.
This isn’t a podcast about answers.
It is an exploration into ourselves, and the skills we need to create and embody the world we want. Throughout the first season, we’ll be diving into topics like embodiment, boundaries, harm, and creativity. It is a space to share struggles, mistakes, and distill some lessons learned from our journeys up to this point.
Einstieg in die Folge:
Prentis Hemphil: "I always want to start with the body. It's important, especially for me to interrupt the Western paradigm, that our bodies are only these fleshy and casements that carry our brains around. They are shaped, they are impacted, they are molded. They are loved. They're the place where our stories reside. And for most of us figuring out how to be in our bodies actually requires a journey, not only of acceptance, but one of deep love, a love that allows and revels in the sensations, the textures, the experiences of these lives and these bodies, all of these bodies, these aging bodies, these queer bodies, these disabled, these fat bodies, these trans bodies, these Black and Brown bodies. These bodies that if we weren't so intent on controlling them might actually teach us about the vastness of creation."

Eröffnungsparty
We're throwing the first party of the new season and opening the bar with a bang! Come along and enjoy food, drinks, DJs, a raffle, and a restyled bar. We look forward to seeing you there!
