Tanzperformance: LILA

LILA explores messing up, losing the beat, piling things up, missing one’s cue, blackouts, chaos, nonsense, and the attempt to cover up, gloss over, or make up for one’s mistakes. The three dancers struggle together to ensure that the performance must go on no matter what, and to convey the important message to the audience—even if no one understands a thing and things go terribly wrong. They rehearse on stage, they perform, they start over, and they aim to entertain the audience.

ALSO: Live audio description will be provided for the performance on Fri, Oct. 16. The touch tour begins at 6:00 p.m. On Wed, Oct. 21, there will be a post-performance discussion following the show.

By and with: Johanna Heusser, Sofia Zambrano, Astro Scheidegger, David Pallant, Johanna Hilari, Xenia Wiener, David Lagerqvist, Maxine Devaud

Durch die Nacht

Night walk created by the STADTSCHWARM collective

We’re tense, our muscles flexed, ready at any moment. On this night walk, we reclaim the public space that many FLINTA* people otherwise avoid. We walk purposefully in the very places where we usually make ourselves small so as not to stand out. We break the unwritten rule that those who feel potentially unsafe must withdraw from the night. Together, we walk through the night, visible and in collective resistance.

The event is open to anyone interested.
