Beyond Molotovs - A Visual Handbook of Anti-Authoritarian Strategies, published in 2024 by kollektiv orangotango and IRGAC, is dedicated to struggles against the reactionary, authoritarian politics of our time.

Authoritarianism operates on an emotional level instead of relying on arguments. Beyond Molotovs therefore asks how we can counter authoritarian affects and fight for anti-fascist futures.

Over 50 contributions provide first-hand accounts of anti-authoritarian struggles that rely on sensual and emotional strategies - collective art by feminist movements in India, Iran, Mexico and Poland; sewing collectives, subversive internet art in Hong Kong or anti-authoritarian board games...

The Beyond Molotovs exhibition is a selection of visual and textual elements from the book. Its aim is to inspire social movements and initiatives in their diverse struggles against authoritarian politics, to exchange experiences and to facilitate cooperation.
