Fascism is knocking at the door
A rough wind is blowing. Right-wing extremist parties are reaching for power. The world's largest corporations are positioning themselves and shedding their liberal facade. There is hardly any talk of combating the climate crisis, even though fires and floods are destroying ever larger swathes of land. Rearmament, isolation and austerity programs are the order of the day.

In Switzerland, this means that an SP Federal Councillor is celebrating the fact that he was able to massively increase the number of deportations. The government is making 4 billion euros available for arming the army - and in return wants to save billions on the welfare state. There is non-stop agitation against queerness and the numerous feminicides are just the tip of the patriarchal violence. For workers in all sectors, the stress at work is increasing. Wages remain the same - while prices rise.

While the wars for resources and spheres of influence among the imperialist powers escalate, migrants are being blamed for the crisis. Yet the reasons for both flight in the global South and the deterioration of living conditions in the global North are the same: the capitalist system is causing destruction and impoverishment in order to protect the profits of a small minority.

Fighting together: with a cool head and a hot heart
Current developments can have a paralyzing effect. We rub our eyes in amazement and ask ourselves: is this really happening? We now need two things at the same time. We need to analyze the shifts with a cool head and build resistance with a hot heart.
Because this is also a time that has the potential to politicize entire generations. A decision has to be made: Do you want to close your eyes or do you want to take action and fight together with others? The defensive struggles against genocide, fascism and militarization can simultaneously develop into offensive moments in which the possibility of a different world emerges. The future has not yet been written and hope emerges as a self-determined movement of struggle.

Therefore: Join organized structures, (grassroots) trade unions, anti-racist collectives or anti-patriarchal alliances. Join us on the streets on May 1st as we join forces as an anti-capitalist movement and take to the streets with millions of workers worldwide against the rise of fascism and for an end to capitalism.
