Short films by Eritreans about racism in Switzerland

On 19 July, we will present the films from our ‘Digital Stories’ project. In workshops, people from Eritrea have processed personal experiences of racism into short films. We will watch the films together. Researcher Wegahta Sereke shares her research on structural racism in Switzerland with us.

Media coverage of Eritrea in Switzerland is often one-sided. Rarely are those affected - Eritrean refugees living here - given the chance to speak. The Eritrean Media Association Switzerland has been campaigning for equal rights for Eritreans in the media and for a well-founded discourse on Eritrea since 2015.
