Music/Concert

ENGLISH

Following Tzu-Ni’s invitation to perform at this year’s LUFF – Lausanne Underground Film & Music Festival, we are presenting her sound work as part of a small Swiss tour with Daniel Maszkowicz, Mehmet Ali Simayli and Miao Zhao.

Presented by LUFF, Rubber Commune and Klappfon.

Tzu-Ni is a Taiwanese sound and installation artist based in the Netherlands. Through multichannel installations, field recordings and text, she explores the relationships between sound, body, gender and space, creating immersive and dream-like environments.

Daniel Maszkowicz is a Swiss research engineer and sound artist. His project EMC transforms electromagnetic signals, shortwave radio and obsolete laboratory instruments into a sonic laboratory of interference, resonance and interaction.

Miao Zhao is a musician, clarinetist and translator from Xi’an, China, currently based in Zurich. Since 2018 she has been active in experimental and interdisciplinary live music. With her solo noise project MiMi at Capricious, she explores noise as extreme sonic energy and as a medium for the inexpressible – between love, death and the unknown.
