While the art world gathers around Art Basel, we are opening an alternative space for queer art, encounters, conversations, resistance, and celebration.
For nine days, the gallery will become a venue for queer bar nights, readings, screenings, discussions, and much more. A program curated by artists, filmmakers, activists, and communities from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
The opening takes place on June 12, featuring readings, an artist talk, food, and drinks, accompanied by a DJ set by Helali and followed by an afterparty at the Hafen.
On June 20, we’ll wrap up with a closing event that transforms the gallery one last time: The exhibition spaces will be turned into a tattoo studio, and saasink & vernaritattoo invite you to experience art that doesn't only go skin deep.
