Klimaznacht mit Spaziergang auf dem Bruderholz
Dear climate-conscious people 🌳,
What is nature? What is culture (society)? How can humans and “non-human beings” work together to shape the world and care for all living things? How can agriculture contribute to this?
We’d love to discuss these questions with you during a walk 🚶♂️ through the Bruderholz farmland, drawing on Pierre’s experiences as a gardener in organic farming 🥬🌺.
We’ll meet on June 4 at 6 p.m. at the Line 11 tram stop, Lochacker, in Reinach, and walk to Bruderholz. Please bring your own picnic and drinks for dinner.
Return trips are available either from the Line 11 tram stop, Reinacherhof station, or from the Line 10 tram stop, Stallen or Oberwil, Zentrum.
We look forward to seeing many of you there!

Vortrag. Für ein Ende der Polizei.
Lecture. For the End of the Police. Why we cannot reform the police, why we will only be able to get rid of the police and the state together, and how collective responsibility might look like.
From Basel to Minneapolis, from Moscow to Tehran. At the EU’s borders or the Berlin Wall. Any place could be listed here, because in every city, every village, and countless other places, people have already been murdered, tortured, imprisoned, or attacked by the police.
For about 160 years, the police have oppressed and terrorized those at the bottom of the social order. And although it was founded precisely with this mandate—namely, to uphold slavery and colonialism and prevent uprisings by the poor—many people, especially in German-speaking countries, believe that the police serve to protect the general population or that the police simply need to be reformed.
Understanding the Police
The lecture will discuss how the police came into being, what their function and structure are, and why we cannot simply reform them but must get rid of them. It will become clear that the police and the state are inextricably linked. Added to this are capitalism, colonialism, patriarchy, and ableism.
So anyone who wants to abolish the police can only do so by abolishing the state as well. Other topics will include: What examples of resistance against the police exist? In what ways do (some) leftists defend the police?
Learning to Take Responsibility
We will then explore forms of communal living in which people collectively take responsibility: How do and have societies without police or a state dealt with conflicts, assaults, and external violence? What possibilities do we have to weaken the power of the police in our everyday lives?
Location and Date
The lecture will take place on June 4, 2026, at 7:30 PM (doors open) at Carambolage (Erlenstrasse 34) in Basel.
It will be presented by the anarchist educational project Schwarzer Weg: schwarzerweg.noblogs.org

Historisches Kabarett, «Human Song»
Historian and comedian Benedikt Meyer takes a playful look at the small and large details of historical photographs.
As part of “Human Song — Was uns zusammenhält”.
The exhibition features photographs of communities—whether formed by chance, by choice, or by decree. The photographs reveal that belonging is not a fixed state, but something that is constantly being redefined through everyday life and shared activities.
In contrast to an often negative media discourse that primarily emphasizes the divisive and difficult aspects of communities, this exhibition focuses on what unites us, without overlooking how fragile this structure can be at the same time.
The exhibition brings together different perspectives on community and invites visitors to engage in conversation about it. What becomes visible are not only formal visual arrangements, but also the social dynamics behind them: moments that create closeness, strengthen connections, or mark boundaries.
“Human Song – Was uns zusammenhält” encourages us to look more closely—at encounters, relationships, and the subtle interplay that makes community possible. An exhibition about what holds us together.

Briefe Schreiben an Gefangene! (in der ZACK!)
Writing Letters to Prisoners Prisons and incarceration are inhumane places and harsh realities of life. They serve as tools of social control and intimidation. Locking people away and marginalizing them does not solve problems—on the contrary. It is precisely these conditions that create the problems. People are torn from our lives, isolated, and locked away. We won’t just stand by and let this happen; we want to break through the cold prison walls. We invite you to write letters to prisoners. We’ll also provide a brief update on the struggles and strikes surrounding the Bässlergut deportation detention center. Come and invite your friends! Self-managed houses and solidarity instead of prisons, control, and police!
