Die ZurBleibe Crew besteht aus verschiedenen Menschen, die Freude am kochen haben. Du bist also herzlich eingeladen mitzukochen oder auch einfach zum essen zu kommen. Einige von uns haben kaum oder erschwerten Zugang zu Arbeitsmöglichkeiten. Darum wird drei viertel der Kollekte für einen Solibeitrag zur Unterstützung dieser Menschen verwendet. Das letzte viertel brauchen wir, um für Nahrungsmittel und Küchenutensilien aufzukommen.

Unser Essen soll für alle möglich sein, egal wieviel Geld jemensch hat! Deshalb gibt es bei uns aus Prinzip eine freiwillige Kollekte. Falls du über ein Einkommen verfügst, denk bitte daran, dass wir auf die Einnahmen der Kollekte angewiesen sind - eben um die Ziele von ZurBleibe unterstützen zu können.

For is a not-for-profit exhibition space in Basel (CH) showing contemporary art. The focus lies on works addressing the audience to critically-imagine popular phenomena of our present. The exhibitions are accompanied by a magazine for cultural studies.

Als komplementärer Kunstort spielt das KASKO im Kontext der Basler Kunstinstitutionen eine eigenständige Rolle. Es funktioniert als flexible Struktur, in der Künstler*innen und Theoretiker*innen gemeinsam an der Schnittstelle von Kunst und Vermittlung arbeiten und den Dialog zwischen Kunstschaffenden und Kunstinteressierten anregen. Ein zentrales Anliegen ist es, Künstler*innen und Kunstvermittler*innen Freiräume zu gewähren und sie dadurch zu fördern. Weiter sucht und pflegt das KASKO die Vernetzung und Kooperation mit städtischen und regionalen Initiativen und Institutionen und mit anderen unabhängigen Kunsträumen im In- uns Ausland. Der Ort selbst steht Künstler*innen und Kunstvermittler*innen als Freiraum und Experimentierfeld zur Verfügung. Zugleich steht das KASKO auch für ein solides und nachhaltiges künstlerisches Programm mit grossem Fokus auf Performance und anderen performativen Ausdrucksformen.

Once in the 90's a few messengers sat together and decided to start an organisation, that supports messenger events. At the beginning the focus was on alleycats, later also messenger championships and bike polo turnaments were organised. Some evenings and Pfefferracketen later, the statutes were created and adapted with the elaborate process of "copy-paste". MEO was born.

The space is a self-organised meeting place for anyone interested in anti-authoritarian ideas. And for anyone looking for access to knowledge and history that is critical of the existing social order.

We see the writing, distribution and reading of texts – be they theoretical essays, stories or experience reports – as an important part of resistance practice. Our selection of books and brochures includes historical and current content, but is by no means complete or conclusive. In this sense, we want to broaden our perspectives, strengthen analyses and make them accessible through texts and discussions.

In addition to the library service, brochures, zines and flyers are available to borrow and take with you. Or you can drop by for a chat with us. From time to time we organise information and discussion events, as well as readings and film evenings. We are always open to suggestions. You can also find material from us to write letters to prisoners. Our address can also be used for this purpose, and letters received can be collected during opening hours.

We see ourselves as part of the fight against gentrification and displacement in the neighbourhood. Together with the collectively run neighbourhood pub Capri Bar, which is right next door, we form a place beyond the obligation to consume and the logic of profit. We want to create physical moments of community to counter the increasing shift of social life into the isolation of digital space. Let’s fill the magazine with life together!

At Lilith, women and genderqueer people from very different parts of the world meet. We talk to each other about everyday and political issues that concern us. What we all have in common is that we know from our own experience what it means to be a woman or genderqueer person in a world characterized by social inequality and violence. We also see ourselves as part of a larger feminist movement, exchange ideas about feminist struggles in different countries and show solidarity with these struggles.

UFO MINK emerged from the workshop series "Good for nothing" in Basel in autumn 2018. The series revolved around depressive experiences in resistant everyday life and tried to develop a collective approach to individual crises. Following this series of events, this group was founded to support support supporters and to promote collective approaches to dealing with crises. UFO MINK meets every month in Basel. The main purpose of the group is to support people who accompany others in crises and to reflect on and develop collective ways of dealing with crises. We always take the time to exchange information about our condition in general and our own support structures and situations in particular.

We use underlines to include all people, regardless of gender identity, in the language. In addition, we use the apostrophe to indicate that the category woman or man is socially constructed. Since a reader reads the apostrophe as a short pause, we prefer this instead of the star.


FEM*FEST #3 2020

As active queer feminists we see a social responsibility for inclusion, visibility and public presence. Through a various programme around the 8th of March we want to draw attention to the different life experiences of women, trans* and queer people. We also want to show how plural feminism is and how variously feminism can be lived.

The fem*fest aims to be open to all people. For the events and workshops we do not charge an entrance fee (with one exception!), but a voluntary donation in order not to exclude any person due to their financial situation. We will also organise whisper groups for translations if necessary and explain the respective space policies (e.g. "for all gender", "error-positive space", "only women*lesben*inter*trans* people etc.) and ways of speaking (how do you want to be addressed: name, pronouns, gender...)!
