Now in its fifth year, the programme has been supported by organisations including Movetia’s Youth in Action Programme, Swisslos and Caritas Schweiz. We are currently looking to expand our network of partners in Switzerland and, most importantly, to reach young people who could benefit from an experience that gives them a space to meet others, express themselves and contribute their own perspectives.
We would love to explore whether young people connected to your organisation might be interested in taking part.
Over the course of one intensive week, a diverse group of young people works alongside social workers, educators and artists to create an outdoor performance together. The performance grows out of their own experiences, ideas and the questions that matter to them. No previous artistic experience is required: the focus is on meeting one another, sharing perspectives, creating together and discovering what can emerge from collaboration across different backgrounds.
The week culminates in a free open-air performance for the local community in Dornach.
We believe the programme can be a particularly meaningful opportunity for young people who are navigating different cultural contexts or going through a process of integration in Switzerland and/or European countries, as it offers not only an artistic experience but also a chance to build relationships, develop confidence, expand communication skills and experience belonging through collective creation.
